Boris and Lily

Our very first house and pet sit was for Laura.  This was before we knew of pet and house sitting apps.  We hadn't even stopped working at the time.  Laura had a lovely older home in the historic Irvington neighborhood in Portland, OR, which is where we still lived at that time.  The Irvington neighborhood in Portland was where the rich and famous of Portland built homes in the turn of the 20th century, with grand tutors and craftsman style homes among the more common styles of the time.  The neighborhood has always been one of our favorite to do walks through

In their home they had a multitude of pets.  Boris was a rat terrier and Lily was a rescue mix of mini-Schnauzer and poodle.  

We just loved sitting for the two of them.  We did nice neighborhood walks and had lots of play time indoors and outdoors with them.  Lily loved to lick, and she loved her various stuffed toys.  Boris loved to be with Lily, and he really liked to bury himself under the covers at night.  In addition, they had a cat and many chickens in their backyard chicken coop. 

We continued to visit their pets when we were in Portland from time to time and followed the dog's activities on Facebook when they would take them to the Oregon Coast.
